HOLLY PARK BASEBALL PROGRAMS

Once a player is registered, and all fees are paid, the player will be assigned to a team and receive a team hat, jersey, belt and socks, as well as being guaranteed one weekly field practice and game.

Players League Age is based on how old the player will be on August 31, 2023.  You can check your players Little League Baseball league age here.

Holly Park’s Baseball Divisions include:

Tee Ball 
Little League Baseball Age (Players 4-5 Years Old)

The primary goals of Tee Ball are to have fun, to introduce and instruct players in the fundamentals of baseball and softball, and to allow them to experience the value of team work.

Players will bat off a batting tee; however, towards the end of the season, players may be encouraged to attempt hitting pitched balls from their Coach/Manager.  Players will also learn how to run bases and make throws to get outs.

There are no standings, the games will last approximately 1 hour, no scores will be kept, batters will bat in a continuous batting order and switch sides once everyone has had a chance to bat.

Rookie
Little League Baseball Age (Players 6-8 Years Old)

Players will expand upon their skills from the Tee Ball Division.
The object of this division is to learn how to hit pitched balls from a pitching machine, run bases and to further develop their hitting, fielding and throwing skills.

This division is solely machine pitch.  Players will receive 5 pitched balls and must put one in play before he/she can attempt to advance to a base.  If a player fails to put a ball in play, he/she will be called out, there are no walks in this division.  Half-inning ends after 3 outs or the batting team scores 5 runs.  There is no stealing and games will last approximately 1:45 minutes. There are no standings in this division.

Minor
Little League Baseball Age (Players 8-10 Years Old)

The object of this division is to learn more advanced concepts of baseball, to become comfortable facing pitchers and to prepare for eventual selection into the Major Division.

Players pitch 46 ft. pitching distance, and run a 60 ft. base path.  There is no leading off, but a player may steal a base once the pitch reaches the plate/batter.  The half-inning ends after 3 outs or 5 runs are scored.  Pitch count and mandatory play rules will be enforced.   There is also a mandatory assessment and draft.  

At the end of the regular season, teams will participate in double elimination tournament to crown a Division Champion.  Tournament brackets are determined by regular season standings.

Major
Little League Baseball Age (10-12 Years Old)

The object of this division is for kids to continue their overall development as players and to further their understanding of the game of baseball.  

Player pitch, 46 ft. pitching distance, 60 ft. base path and base stealing when the ball reaches the batter/plate.  Batters may attempt to reach 1st base on a dropped 3rd strike.

Half-inning ends after 3 outs or an option to switch halves after 5 runs.  Pitch count and mandatory play rules will be enforced.  There’s also a mandatory player assessment and draft.     

At the end of the regular season, teams will participate in double elimination tournament to crown a Division Champion.  Tournament brackets are determined by regular season standings.

50/70 INTERMEDIATE DIVISION
Little League Baseball Age (11-13 Years Old)

This division is for kids who would like the opportunity to continue playing recreational baseball.

Player pitch, 50 ft. pitching distance, 70 ft. base path.  If needed, a player assessment and draft will be conducted.  Half-inning ends after 3 outs or an option to switch halves after 5 runs.  Base runners may take lead offs and steal bases at any time during live balls.  Pitch count and mandatory play rules will be enforced.     

Inter-League play; our teams will play against other 50/70 teams in the area.

Junior Division
Little League Baseball Age (14-15 Years Old)

This division is for kids who hope to continue playing baseball through high school.  

Player pitch, 60 ft. 6 in. pitching distance, 90 ft. base path.  If needed, a player assessment and draft will be conducted.  Half-inning ends after 3 outs or an option to switch halves after 5 runs.  Base Runners may take lead offs and steal bases at any time during a live ball.  Pitch count and mandatory play rules will be enforced.     
   
Inter-League play; our teams will play against other Junior Division teams in the area.
